The short version
QRGen generates every QR code entirely in your browser. The data you enter — links, WiFi passwords, contact details — is never sent to, uploaded to, or stored on our servers. We can’t see your codes.
Information we do and don’t collect
- QR code content: Never collected or stored. It stays in your browser.
- Uploaded logos: Processed locally in your browser only; never uploaded to us.
- Usage analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic — pages visited, country, device type. This never includes your QR content.
Cookies
QRGen may use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics, and — where applicable — advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we will ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Advertising and third parties
We may display advertising to keep QRGen free. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Data storage
We may store a simple, anonymous count of how many QR codes have been generated in total (a single number — not your codes or content) to display usage statistics on the site.
